Paul Vazquez, Director

Vazquez enters his ninth season at the helm of the women’s soccer program. 

Vazquez led the Pilgrims to a 2015 record of 10-11-1 overall and 5-4 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).  The Pilgrims advances to the NAC Championship for the first time in school history.  Four Pilgrims were selected all-conference and one earned NEWISA All-New England honors.

Over the past eight season Vazquez has coached 16 all-conference players, three Co-SIDA Academic All-Region members, two NSCAA Academic-All New England players, one NSCAA All New England Player, and five NEWISA All-New England Players.  Under Vazquez’s leadership the women’s soccer program holds the record for most wins 69, most wins in a season 12 and has posted three 10 win seasons. His teams have also been to the post season five consecutive years, most notably making three appearances in the semifinals and one championship game appearance.

Academically, Vazquez's team have also succeeded.  They have earned four consecutive NSCAA Team Academic Awards for posting a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.  This past season the team posted a 3.34 team GPA for the year and was awarded New England College Team of the Year.

Vazquez served as assistant coach for the New England College men’s team from 2004-2008. Over four seasons Vazquez has helped lead the Pilgrims to an overall record of 40-27-7, four straight TCCC post season appearances and an appearance in the ECAC New England Tournament.

Vazquez owns a USSF B License and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma. He is also on the Olympic Development Region 1 Staff. Vazquez graduated from Canisius College in 1994 and is a native of Buffalo, New York. 

Heidi Crockett, Head Coach NHTI

Heidi Crockett is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania (2015 Sports Management – Exercise Science and Wellness and Fitness). She is a veteran coach with a fantastic background in many athletic circles here in N.H. Prior to her position at NHTI, Coach Crockett served as the assistant coach at New England College from 2010-13 and at Plymouth State University from 2008-2010. She is also currently active with youth soccer, coaching at the premier U16 level with the Seacoast United organization. She currently holds a US Soccer D License, a NSCAA National Coaching Diploma, and a NSCAA Regional Goal Keeping Diploma.

Heidi Crockett’s background in sports is extensive with experience at many different levels as a coach and a player involving soccer, softball, lacrosse and basketball.  Coach Crockett is a native of nearby Gilmanton, N.H. where she owns and operates Crockett Titles. The Crockett’s have three children Chelsea, Cassie, and Chad who also played baseball at NHTI.

Jeff Vogt, Assistant Coach

Jeff joined the New England College women’s soccer staff in 2014.  

In 2014 he helped the Pilgrims to a program-best 12 win season and a trip to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Semifinals. In 2015 he helped the team to a trip to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) finals.

Vogt is entering his seventh year as the boys varsity soccer coach at John Stark Regional High School in Weare, New Hampshire.  In 2012 he was voted Div. II Boys Coach of the Year.  Prior to coaching the boys, he was the girls varsity soccer coach at John Stark for nine years.

Jeff was a New Hampshire Olympic Development State Coach for eight years, was a staff instructor with New Hampshire Soccer, and is the founding president of the John Stark United Soccer Club.  

Jeff currently holds his USSF C License.

Vogt is a graduate of Castleton State College where he was a three-year member of both the soccer and the basketball team.

Adam Sprague, Graduate Assistant

Adam Sprague comes to New England College from Norwich High School where he was the Varsity Girls’ head coach achieving their two best records in over a decade.  During that time, he worked closely with the local youth development program as technical director to go along with a position as a high school mathematics teacher.

While head coach of the Norwich Varsity team he was also the head coach of the under-19 Sidney SC men’s and the under-19 Chenango Chargers women’s teams competing in the New York East Soccer Association taking the top spot in each league.

Adam attended SUNY Fredonia where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as well as a Bachelor of the Arts in Adolescent Education.
